The outcome – what Gurukul is today.In February 2008, GMS was awarded the Certificate of Honour , as ‘ One of the best 5 Educational Institutes in Eastern India’, in the by ‘ Gurukuljyoti Award’ for Excellence in Education, 2006 . Awards and Accolades and quite a number of these have come in the way of GMS since 2006, acknowledging their excellence in the various fields of Hotel and Hospitality Management, BCA and Hospital studies. These however, have not made the us complacent. In fact, the accolades received have inspired GMS to perform better, to reach new horizons, to reach out to higher goals of excellence.
We are pledged to augment the facilities and infrastructure continuously, to meet the ever changing challenges of the ever-growing sunshine industry, the hospitality and the tourism industry. All the course packages offered by the GMS takes off from the learning of the rich Indian heritage and the Culture and are perfectly blended with the Western Hotel and Hospitality Management education system. • The Infrastructure :
GMS presently have two campus , one at Mahishbathan, Sector V, salt Lake City , Kolkata and the other at HB-203, Salt Lake City, Kolkata. A third campus at Behala is expected to open its doors in 2016-17. A Luxury Hotel is also being planned in the vicinity of the Mahisbathan Campus. With its proximity to the Airport, this hotel is aimed at providing a comfortable stay to both domestic and international guests and a quality industry experience to the Hotel Management students.
GMS offers state–of–art facilities for the management and IT studies like spacious classrooms , conference halls, well equipped library, IT resource centres. Besides spacious classrooms , conference halls, well stocked library, IT resource centres , the food and beverage production lab with modern kitchen, bakery and confectionary unit, specialty restaurants, coffee shops, furnished AC deluxe rooms, front office labs and laundry are integral part of the infrastructure to train and impart practical skills in specific area of study. Personality Development programs, soft skill training, English communication classes are added benefits of these courses.
